Though Maurice has only worked with my high school freshman son for two sessions, it's clear to me (and my son) that Maurice has the ability to connect, relate, and instill confidence. Maurice is amazing- he is so patient with my son. He never gives up and always looks for creative ways for an out of the box learner. We had our first session with Maurice on Labor Day. He was SO accommodating to us in scheduling us on a holiday as his normal schedule was so booked up and we wanted to get started. He bonded with our 8-year old immediately. Such a patient man. He figured out how to approach our son and what would work best with him. We are really looking forward to continuing with Maurice and help our son get to where he needs to be with his schoolwork.

Mr. Maurice teaches our 11-year-old son and 13 year-old-daughter. They are homeschooled and have struggled with Math and English since an early age. It was impressive to see how quickly Mr. Maurice evaluated both kids and figured out exactly what level to start. This fact also gave me confidence in moving forward with him to teach Math and Language Arts. He approaches both kids in the way they learn. Mr. Maurice is a great teacher and we are very excited to continue lessons with him.

Many tutors are competent and knowledgeable in their subjects. Some are also very good teachers as well, but very few are innovative in their teaching approach. Maurice is just that. He talked to my son and figured out not only what my son does not know, but even more importantly, what his learning style is and the best customized way to deliver missing knowledge to him. Maurice went outside the subject matter and used learning games and tricks to efficiently deliver the info to make sure my son also retained that knowledge. No one has unlimited time and resources; it is very important to me that they are used wisely and efficiently. Thank you, Maurice, for helping us.

He was very fast at replying to messages and willing to work with your schedule. He also was helpful because he would ask you how to do the problem, and if you didn't understand how then he would step in and give you help. If you didn't understand how he got the answer he was very willing to explain it again and in a different way.
